It is the policy set by the Board of Directors of Harara Energy Limited to provide safe and healthy working conditions for all employees and to ensure that work performed by the company does not have adverse effect on the health and safety of third parties.
In the implementation of this policy we recognize the following:
- To ensure that the management and employees have the commitment and skills necessary to ensure a high standard of safety awareness throughout the company, with the ultimate aim that accidents and injuries can be prevented.
- Defined lines of authority, responsibility and channels of communication are established at all levels within the company.
- We will keep our employees, relevant authority and clients informed of any potential hazards that may be detrimental to health.
- We will observe current legislation and where required, offer any advice relevant to our own activities that might assist in improving futures legislation for safety at the work place.
- To continue working with industry and professional organization in the improvement of established code of practice, procedures and specifications relevant to health and safety.
- Whilst the ultimate responsibility for the effective implementation of this policy rests with the company’s managing director, each person employed in Harara Energy has a duty to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons, who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work, by the complying with established and documented safety systems of work.
